Commissioning Work

Commissioning a piece of work in is an opportunity to involve yourself in the development of a unique piece designed for a particular place or to mark a particulate occasion.

After an initial conversation, (including a discussion of ideas, deadlines and budgets), I will provide a selection of preliminary ideas to be discussed at a second meeting, with no charge or obligation at this stage.

If you wish to pursue an idea, a design fee will be agreed to develop the idea fully, including models and full costs. Once the design is agreed, a deposit of 50% is taken with the rest due on completion. Existing work can also be commissioned.

I undertake commissions for private and corporate clients, previous commissions include private clients with a specific brief and The Critics' Circle Visual Arts Award. If you would like to discuss a commission, or have any questions about the process, please get in touch via Contact.

Discussing Commissioning

Red Top Swimmer of the Year Trophy, 2016

"We commissioned Juliette to design and make 2 unique trophies for our annual awards evening - the Red Top Swim Male and Female Swimmer of the Year, the highest accolades in our club. The brief was to design around our logo and to create an extremely positive impact on sight - top quality, professional, slick, attention to detail. Additionally, there needed to be space for engraving names over the coming years as we intend to engrave these trophies annually and keep within the club. Finally, they needed to be within budget! Juliette achieved all this and more. High-end materials combined with clean lines and perfect ratios lead to 2 unbelievable trophies that we are confident will stay within the club for many years to come. Great job, excellently done from design to delivery.

Many thanks Juliette!"

Private Commission for a pair of Split Bowls, 2015

"I would like to thank you for the pair of split silver bowls that you made for me; their simple and sophisticated elegance is a constant pleasure used ether in a formal setting or with the family round the kitchen table.  They are always admired and friends always want to handle them as they have such a tactile shape. Their gentle rocking movement is a delight and as if they enjoy being the centre of attention!"
